Boelter Paper and Supply Co launched in 1929 with Fred W. Boelter leading the way. At the time, he specialized in providing bar and janitorial supplies for taverns and rooming houses in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Fighting for Growth
Despite World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam, Boelter continued to grow across the Southeastern Wisconsin region, expanding their scope to include restaurant and kitchen supplies.

Bill Boelter, the current President & CEO takes over the Boelter Companies from his father.
Bigger and Better
Boelter partners with E.A. Hinrichs & Co in Chicago, allowing them to expand into the Chicagoland region.
1995 – 2004
Boelter Goes West
Boelter’s Minneapolis Division launched with the acquisition of Landmark, a restaurant kitchen design and supply company. After ten years of building relationships in the area, the branch grew again with the acquisition of the US Foodservice Contract and Design Offices.
A New Era
Boelter Foodservice, a foodservice design, equipment, and supply company is officially established, headed by President Eric Boelter, grandson of Boelter’s founder Fred Boelter.
Hall of Famers
Boelter is inducted into the Foodservice Equipment and Supplies Industry Hall of Fame, officially establishing our position as industry leaders. That same year, Boelter won the Culvers Circle of Excellence award for the second year in a row.
Designing the Kitchens of America
The Direct South Division formed with the acquisition of multiple foodservice design and equipment firms in the region. In 2016, the division changed its name to Boelter Southeast.
Boelter partnered with Anchor 5 Digital, beginning Boelter’s expansion into the world of food service digital marketing with website and mobile app development for restaurants.
Continuing Design & Project Management Growth
With the acquisition of Premier in Minneapolis, MN, Boelter continued enhancing the process of opening a restaurant or commercial facility with a legendary vision for design and exceptional project management.

Boelter builds on mobile application technology the Company gained when it acquired Anchor 5 Digital in 2016 and rebrands as a Boelter solution.
