Eric Thornton is responsible for all Government foodservice sales and marketing, as well as business development of Citisco Food Service Equipment product lines. Eric is a Navy Veteran with over 20 years of Federal Contract experience. During his Naval career, he served in many leadership capacities, including Leading Chief Petty Officer, Ship Superintendent, Division Officer, and Material Officer. His contract experience began at Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay Georgia as a TRIDENT Refit Facility Ship Superintendent. He continues to work in and with Government Federal Supply Systems.
Before joining Boelter’s Southeastern Division in 2006, Eric was the Vice President of Operations with Kipper Technologies, a subsidiary of Kipper Tool, Inc., a government integrator of telecommunication equipment. Before Kipper Technologies, Eric was Director of Government Contracts & Business Development with Kipper Tool Inc., negotiating over 100M in Long Term contracts with the Federal Government. Eric started his government contracting career in the commercial sector with Praxair Inc., where he provided cryogenic gas systems to government installations. Prior to this, Eric also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Military College in Information Systems. He has completed many foodservice industry education programs, including Hobart, Vulcan, Blodgett, Alto-Shaam, Manitowoc Food Equipment, Champion, and Ali Group.
Through his military travels, Eric has seen most of the world and experienced various cultures. He says it has been very rewarding but has also required tremendous sacrifice. He was always glad to return home. Eric is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to football. He also enjoys fishing. He and his wife live in Sugarhill, Georgia and attend Friendship Baptist Church. Eric is the proud father of four daughters.
