Max Barrera is a Designer & Project Manager in Boelter’s Sacramento office. A member of the team since 2004, he works on foodservice projects of all sizes, including independent restaurants, colleges and universities, corporate convention centers, and more. Max is responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including initial bids, estimating costs, submitting proposals, project coordination, and completion facilitation.
As a manager in high volume restaurants early in his career, Max learned first-hand how great designs need to work in order for front and back of the house crews to get from the beginning of a shift to the end. Today—an experienced designer and project manager—he enjoys the challenges that come with a complicated and innovative project. Specializing in equipment procurement and logistics, Max loves specifying the perfect piece of equipment and finding it at the right price.
Recently, Max has completed design and equipment projects at Foothill College, University Towers at San Diego State University in San Diego, Veteran’s Home of California in Fresno and the San Jose Convention Center. He attended De Anza College in Cupertino, California, for Computer Technology. He loves hiking, biking, and photography.
